{"id":136570,"date":"2023-09-02T20:19:35","date_gmt":"2023-09-03T00:19:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=136570"},"modified":"2023-09-02T20:19:35","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T00:19:35","slug":"hour-twelve-i-am-finished","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/hour-twelve-i-am-finished\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour Twelve ( I am finished!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We all have closets, deep within our souls,<br \/>\nplaces dark and scary and cluttered.<br \/>\nOur monsters are kept there,<br \/>\nour dreams sometimes, though I hope not.<\/p>\n<p>My fears lurk there, hell, they breed there!<br \/>\nClustering among the smelly sneakers and<br \/>\nold socks I left there as a kid,<br \/>\nthey constantly remind me I have no value<br \/>\nI am not like others<br \/>\nI am odd<\/p>\n<p>So I can see air, big deal<br \/>\nSo everything inside my head is color coded,<br \/>\nwho cares!<br \/>\nWords with &#8220;L&#8217;s and R&#8217;s are hard to pronounce<br \/>\nand every Fall I may stutter.<\/p>\n<p>But I have found an antidote to those<br \/>\nevil shadows that try to twist my soul<br \/>\nI have found God, the creator of the universe!<\/p>\n<p>I know not why He allows those demons<br \/>\nto hide within my self, planing diabolical curses.<br \/>\nBut I do know He is love and power<br \/>\nand he decided to create me as I am,<br \/>\njust as I am.<\/p>\n<p>That is enough for me<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all have closets, deep within our souls, places dark and scary and cluttered.
