My closet is a cleaner’s dream<\/p>\n
a nightmare, truly<\/p>\n
stuffed with sweaters, pants, skirts;<\/p>\n
two full closets of dresses all<\/p>\n
hung so tightly impossible to pull one out.<\/p>\n
On the bottom are shoes- a hundred pairs I guess,<\/p>\n
all shapes and colors for day and night,<\/p>\n
in hot or cold weather. Handbags dangle<\/p>\n
from broken rungs thrown willy-nilly<\/p>\n
on side walls: big ones for computers, small ones<\/p>\n
for carrying cash and a lipstick–colors that match<\/p>\n
every outfit I own and others I don’t.<\/p>\n
I dream of clothes of all colors, with blouses<\/p>\n
and scarves to match. Even underwear must match,<\/p>\n
it,\u00a0 too gets thrown wherever it can fit.<\/p>\n
Every year I organize,<\/p>\n
everything has a place,<\/p>\n
and in 2 months,<\/p>\n
it’s a mess.<\/p>\n
I can’t win these days,<\/p>\n
I won’t even try.<\/p>\n
Just close the door<\/p>\n
and breathe. It’s not yours<\/p>\n
