\nas wings begin to sprout
\nsearching for sprinkles of cake crumbs

They always get their wishes
\nmade of enchanting light
\nonce were thought of as misfits
\nBut now their repute is bright<\/p>\n
Early married at seven
\nhomes of brick and granite stone
\nthese flitting little sprites
\nour dearest friends they’re known<\/p>\n
The penchant for trickery
\nin will-o-the-wisp spells
\nconsidered demoted angels
\nbut we embrace their bells<\/p>\n
To leave that stale bread
\nthe essence of home and fire
\ntaming dough to rise
\nin distaste of the pixie’s ire<\/p>\n
the Sleagh Maith of Scotland
\nthe Good People so blessed
\ncondensed clouds of the north
\nlike chameleons colured deft<\/p>\n
To meet these beguiling wafts
\nwith their translucent gossamer wings
\na dream would surely come true
\nas the King of Fairies sings<\/p>\n
