dragging myself out of the bed<\/p>\n
takes on many different forms.<\/p>\n

I make my way to my room<\/p>\n
to prepare for my day,<\/p>\n
wondering what’s in store for me<\/p>\n
and what my students will say.<\/p>\n

Ms. Jones, I’m tired I didn’t get much sleep<\/p>\n
I was up on my game all night,<\/p>\n
I can’t do very much work today<\/p>\n
I promise I won’t play fight.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My dog ate my homework, so I don’t have it today<\/p>\n
I promise that this is true,<\/p>\n
just give me more time I’ll have it done<\/p>\n
I’ll turn the next one in when it’s due.<\/p>\n

Yeah right, you’ve said all this before<\/p>\n
I don’t know why you waste my time,<\/p>\n
it has gotten old and funny too<\/p>\n
