The Muses are being elusive again,<\/p>\n
like they want to hide from me or something.<\/p>\n
Don’t they know I know their strategies?<\/p>\n
Don’t they see how important they are?<\/p>\n
Why do they hide behind the trees?<\/p>\n
In the cupboard?<\/p>\n
Why do they look at me and laugh?<\/p>\n
Daring me, toying with me?<\/p>\n
I do try to coax them, cajole them, pay them even.<\/p>\n
But some days they just sulk,<\/p>\n
or abuse<\/p>\n
or worse yet<\/p>\n
they play hide and go seek.<\/p>\n
Do they know I am on a deadline here?<\/p>\n
