I tried to bake a cake today,<\/p>\n

But things did not go my way.<\/p>\n

I mixed the flour and the sugar,<\/p>\n

And then I added the egg and the butter.<\/p>\n

But when it came time to bake,<\/p>\n

I realized my mistake.<\/p>\n

I had forgotten to preheat the oven,<\/p>\n

And now my cake was looking nothing but rotten.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I tried to salvage the mess,<\/p>\n

And decided to play it by ear, I confess.<\/p>\n

I added some cocoa powder and a pinch of salt,<\/p>\n

And hoped for the best, though it was not my fault.<\/p>\n

But when I pulled it out of the oven,<\/p>\n

I knew that it was not for lovin’.<\/p>\n

It was flat and hard as a rock,<\/p>\n

And I knew I’d have to toss it in the trash block.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So next time I try to bake,<\/p>\n

I’ll make sure to preheat and not make a mistake.<\/p>\n

Or maybe I’ll just stick to buying,<\/p>\n
