For example you could write a poem about your wedding from the experience of your spouse, or you could write a poem about an argument with a stranger from the perspective of the stranger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Down Memory Lane<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It strikes him then, as she pauses at the gate.<\/p>\n<p>It hits him as he watches her hesitate,<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time she has ever gone back.<\/p>\n<p>Back the way in life. His brave lost wife.<\/p>\n<p>He grabs her hand then, aware of her pain.<\/p>\n<p>And propels her forward, down memory lane.<\/p>\n<p>The long winding drive of the house she lived in<\/p>\n<p>Four decades ago.<\/p>\n<p>They walk together, a curious trio,<\/p>\n<p>man, woman and her seventeen-year-old self.<\/p>\n<p>This house stood for everything she had lost.<\/p>\n<p>Childhood. Parents. Gone abruptly.<\/p>\n<p>Solitary Sibling. Feral Squabbles.<\/p>\n<p>Disintegrated Shared Childhood.<\/p>\n<p>And suddenly it was there, in front of him.<\/p>\n<p>The old house, in a state of enchanting disrepair.<\/p>\n<p>He watched as she watched her young self<\/p>\n<p>Run ahead, into the house.<\/p>\n<p>He watched as she tried to follow.<\/p>\n<p>He watched her breathe in and swallow<\/p>\n<p>the Past.
