That went fast.<br \/>\nTwelve poems in two hours.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s kind of bittersweet.<br \/>\nIt means it\u2019s almost over.<\/p>\n<p>I thought I would struggle more.<br \/>\nI thought it would take me longer.<br \/>\nI\u2019m still behind, but that\u2019s alright.<br \/>\nI want to diddy-dally a little longer.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an event I look forward to every year.<br \/>\nBut the last few years, I\u2019ve slacked off.<br \/>\nForgot about it (like this year-despite my reminders).<br \/>\nI made a goal to finish this year.<\/p>\n<p>But I don\u2019t want to rush<br \/>\nThough it might feel like I am.<br \/>\nI\u2019m just excited to be writing again.<br \/>\nI kept pushing ideas off today thinking I had to wait.<\/p>\n<p>I truly believe that if you\u2019re a poet:<br \/>\nThe thought of writing is exciting,<br \/>\nAnd also, something dreaded.<br \/>\nBecause eventually, you have to end the poem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#12: Half way!
