Today we will discuss the lack of talent<\/p>\n
by some poets,<\/p>\n
(specifically this writer.)<\/p>\n
She believes, erroneously,<\/p>\n
that poetry will change the world.<\/p>\n
She never quite gives up,<\/p>\n
despite all evidence to the contrary.<\/p>\n
As we study this poet’s work,<\/p>\n
we can see an unusual amount of triteness,<\/p>\n
a lack of form,<\/p>\n
a failure to submit to the attributes<\/p>\n
long-held by generations<\/p>\n
of those we call poets.<\/p>\n
Yes audience.<\/p>\n
I know, times have changed.<\/p>\n
,The conventions of Whitman and Barrett-Browning,<\/p>\n
of Frost and Dickenson are long gone.<\/p>\n
The parameters of poetry have certainly<\/p>\n
modernized.<\/p>\n
However, this poet has far overstepped<\/p>\n
even that basic framework.<\/p>\n
We must fine this poet and those like her,<\/p>\n
We must punish the audacity.<\/p>\n
How dare anyone<\/p>\n
abuse a sacred artform<\/p>\n
like poetry.<\/p>\n
For shame. For shame people!<\/p>\n
