{"id":139456,"date":"2023-09-03T00:52:43","date_gmt":"2023-09-03T04:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=139456"},"modified":"2023-09-03T00:52:43","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T04:52:43","slug":"barney-hour-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/barney-hour-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Barney    hour 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barney<\/p>\n<p>I love purple<br \/>\neverything about purple<br \/>\nall shades of purple but&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Barney the purple dinosaur<br \/>\nis an atrocity I do not appreciate.<br \/>\nHere are my top ten reasons why:<\/p>\n<p>1) A-nnoying songs that play over and over<br \/>\nuntil you want to stuff your ears with wax.<br \/>\nHot wax.<\/p>\n<p>2) Barney was on for 18 years<br \/>\nand that is just wrong wrong wrong.<\/p>\n<p>3) Too much sugar for kids in the 90s.<br \/>\nSomeone finally woke up and pulled<br \/>\nthe sugar plum plug on Barney.<\/p>\n<p>4) A fat, purple, singing dinosaur, really?<br \/>\nTell the truth&#8230; did you ever watch it?<\/p>\n<p>5) I love you, I love you, I love you<br \/>\nso many times that I changed the words to<br \/>\nI hate you, I hate you, I hate you.<br \/>\nBetter but not by much.<\/p>\n<p>6) It\u2019s Barney, after all, not Sesame Street.<br \/>\nNow that\u2019s a show with longevity.<\/p>\n<p>7) A purple t-rex that\u2019s an educational dancer \u2013<br \/>\nthat should be more than enough.<\/p>\n<p>8) 150 Ways to Kill the Dinosaur&#8230;<br \/>\nnuff said.<\/p>\n<p>9) Barney actor is a tantric sex specialist. Yikes!<\/p>\n<p>10) Any other color dinosaur, I could care less<br \/>\nbut he wrecked purple\u2019s reputation.
