Hour 18<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“The Price Of Admission…”<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Friends…<\/p>\n

mean more than a moment’s pause<\/p>\n

and careless laughter…<\/p>\n

more than a thought-full glance<\/p>\n

and the choice of left behind.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And yes, when we GO away<\/p>\n

life remains<\/p>\n

and people change<\/p>\n

and move on in ways we never knew.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But…<\/p>\n

some<\/p>\n

have no one …else…<\/p>\n

to share what it meant to be them –<\/p>\n

anymore<\/p>\n

and they die<\/p>\n

…die, in inches<\/p>\n

in their dark and empty existence.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A letter …just a simple paragraph<\/p>\n

scribed and sent –<\/p>\n

and I didn’t think of it.<\/p>\n

Didn’t do it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You see –<\/p>\n

I escaped,<\/p>\n

found tomorrows,<\/p>\n

touched my stars.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dave …Dave didn’t forget me.<\/p>\n

Didn’t move on, couldn’t …move on.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Too late, I found out –<\/p>\n

He thought I was ashamed of him,<\/p>\n

of knowing him,<\/p>\n

and that I just wanted him to go …away…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So he did<\/p>\n

…go…<\/p>\n

away.<\/p>\n

Flowers just don’t work<\/p>\n

when ya stand looking down<\/p>\n

– at the ground<\/p>\n

…remembering.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ya quickly learn<\/p>\n

your price of admission.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
