{"id":139858,"date":"2023-09-03T01:40:20","date_gmt":"2023-09-03T05:40:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=139858"},"modified":"2023-09-03T01:40:20","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T05:40:20","slug":"poets-prayer12am","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2023\/09\/poets-prayer12am\/","title":{"rendered":"Poets Prayer12am"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lord,<\/p>\n<p>I humbly come before you now<br \/>\nto seek your favor<br \/>\nand to plead my case<\/p>\n<p>Please grant to me the ability<br \/>\nto continue writing<br \/>\nI\u2019m weary Lord, and ready to<br \/>\nthrow in the towel.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m no quitter<br \/>\nbut the mind is weak<br \/>\nthe hands don\u2019t want to type<br \/>\nand the body just wants to<br \/>\nsleep<\/p>\n<p>And there is a little bit of<br \/>\nwriters block making the rounds<br \/>\nas well-<br \/>\nwhich is annoying because, well<br \/>\nit just is<\/p>\n<p>I know that I have much more to say<br \/>\ntonight as I write Lord<br \/>\nI made the commitment to do<br \/>\nall twenty four hours- I don\u2019t think<br \/>\nthat I was thinking very clearly when<br \/>\nI made this decision<\/p>\n<p>Given the chance again Lord-<br \/>\nI\u2019d still make this decision, simply<br \/>\nbecause I love to write-<\/p>\n<p>Thank you Lord<br \/>\nfor hearing my prayer<br \/>\nthank you for listening<br \/>\nfrom here on out I\u2019ll do what you<br \/>\nsay.<\/p>\n<p>Amen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lord, I humbly come before you now to seek your favor and to plead my case Please grant to me the ability to continue writing I\u2019m weary Lord, and ready to throw in the towel.
