Images shift behind my eyes, in front of my eyes,<\/p>\n
between the layers of color in my irises.<\/p>\n
In a bad dream, a dual reality – a moving duality reality<\/p>\n
that recalls splashes of indistinct color on canvas.<\/p>\n
As a kaleidoscope shuffles it rearranges my vision<\/p>\n
to dislocate and displace, to displace and dislocate.<\/p>\n
My chaotic gaze is a disorganized daze\u2026<\/p>\n
addled, bewildered, long periods of blackout.<\/p>\n
No memories, only to be told the next day when awake<\/p>\n
that you acted out your dreams. Again. I left all in disarray,<\/p>\n
a scrambled mess of a trail in my wake. Again.<\/p>\n
New people hate me. New people show me compassion.<\/p>\n
I take responsibility for whatever horrors I committed<\/p>\n
in my sleep. Again. I apologize for whatever, even if<\/p>\n
I remember nothing. I know. I have been here before.<\/p>\n
I will be here again. My recurring nightmare.<\/p>\n
