In shadows cast by moonlight’s glow,<\/p>\n

A battle brews, emotions flow,<\/p>\n

With trembling heart, I stand my ground,<\/p>\n

In defense of my loyal hound.<\/p>\n

My sister, dear, with furrowed brow,<\/p>\n

Questions the way I care for now,<\/p>\n

She claims my love is far too blind,<\/p>\n

To see the truth of what’s behind.<\/p>\n

But let me tell you, sister mine,<\/p>\n

These canine eyes, they brightly shine,<\/p>\n

With love that knows no bounds nor end,<\/p>\n

A bond so deep, my dearest friend.<\/p>\n

You see, I know he’s spoiled, it’s true,<\/p>\n

A pampered pup, in all we do,<\/p>\n

But in his eyes, I see the trust,<\/p>\n

In me, he knows, he’s found his just.<\/p>\n

He sleeps beside me, every night,<\/p>\n

In darkness, his eyes still shining bright,<\/p>\n

He listens to my whispered fears,<\/p>\n

And licks away my salty tears.<\/p>\n

In every wag, in every bark,<\/p>\n

I find a piece of my own heart,<\/p>\n

A love that’s pure, without disguise,<\/p>\n

Unwavering, beneath the skies.<\/p>\n

So, sister dear, before you judge,<\/p>\n

Consider this, the deepest grudge,<\/p>\n

For in my dog, I’ve found my grace,<\/p>\n

A bond that time cannot erase.<\/p>\n

I’ll cherish him, come what may,<\/p>\n

Through sunny skies or stormy day,<\/p>\n

In this potential fight, I’ll stand,<\/p>\n

To protect my furry friend.<\/p>\n

For he and I, we share a soul,<\/p>\n

A love that makes us both feel whole,<\/p>\n

And though you may not understand,<\/p>\n

I’ll defend him, hand in hand.<\/p>\n
