Hour Eighteen \u2013 Text Prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Write a poem about a haunting, real, or imagined, detailed or abstract.<\/p>\n

Image Prompt \u2013 Ravens and Crows<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

You always know, when you see a crow<\/p>\n

Of the powers that they own<\/p>\n

For those who die, are unable to fly<\/p>\n

Up towards salvation, alone.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Their soul just flows, into our crows<\/p>\n

Till they\u2019re ready to leave this earth<\/p>\n

Its not a haunting, not even daunting<\/p>\n

They merely await rebirth.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is a fact, not a made up pact<\/p>\n

Hindus believe this to be true<\/p>\n

The crows are fed, when our own are dead<\/p>\n

So, we feed our own folk too.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For as long as it takes, no one breaks<\/p>\n

This sacred circle of life<\/p>\n

To ether they go, the humble crow<\/p>\n

Carrying, parent and child, husband and wife<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When you hear crow caws, please just pause<\/p>\n

And say a silent prayer<\/p>\n

For they\u2019ll fly away, in the next few days<\/p>\n

To deliver the soul to Universe\u2019s next layer.<\/p>\n
