It can be something like making coffee every morning, or something like attending religious services once a week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some people thrive on routine,<br \/>\nOn knowing what comes next,<br \/>\nOn following the familiar path;<br \/>\nI am not one of those people.<\/p>\n<p>Erratic schedules never phased me.<br \/>\nLate nights and early mornings,<br \/>\nMeal times scattered throughout the day,<br \/>\nVaried school or work hours, as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>Of late, though, I try to maintain routine.<br \/>\nAlarms set to wake up and take pills,<br \/>\nControlling when to work and when to play.<br \/>\nCould it transform my life?<\/p>\n<p>Well, still no regular times to eat,<br \/>\nStill no common time to sleep,<br \/>\nAs yet, no repetition-wrought epiphanies;<br \/>\nCould routines be overrated?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Write a poem about a routine or ritual that is part of your life.
