The night we stuck our heads beyond\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The safety of the roof awning<\/span><\/p>\n

And let the cool drizzle of the surprise<\/span><\/p>\n

8pm mist create dewdrops in our hair<\/span><\/p>\n

I felt baptized for the second time\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

here in February<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gone was the fear of getting sick<\/span><\/p>\n

And worrying about the tomorrows<\/span><\/p>\n

I embraced the dazzling kisses one\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the other. Accepting each beautiful one<\/span><\/p>\n

Reminding me of childhood,<\/span><\/p>\n

Soaking myself to the bone,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

leaping through streams\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the International Fountain\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in Seattle<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You encouraged me to follow your lead<\/span><\/p>\n

And in all my controlling nature<\/span><\/p>\n

Always the hurricane never\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The gift and blessing of sweet<\/span><\/p>\n

Soft powdery rain<\/span><\/p>\n

For once I\u2019m not looking over my shoulder<\/span><\/p>\n

Nor am I looking above<\/span><\/p>\n
