People are real and complex and composed of<\/p>\n
out of context quotes, half-remembered daydreams,<\/p>\n
and coffee-stained yesterdays – there is a beauty<\/p>\n
in such fascinating feelings and experiences;<\/p>\n
but we can’t all boil down to rhyme or reason<\/p>\n
so easily – we don’t all fit the same molds –<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and honestly where would the fun in that be?<\/p>\n
So next time you pick up a collection of poetry<\/p>\n
or go to a museum or peruse a community garden<\/p>\n
I hope you’ll admire the differences and the personalities-<\/p>\n
I hope you’ll take note of all the butterflies<\/p>\n
and hummingbirds and silver linings guiding<\/p>\n
you wherever it is you need to go.<\/p>\n

Time and age and choice can change people<\/p>\n
but\u00a0 you do have a say in how they affect you.<\/p>\n

Poem 25: BONUS:<\/p>\n
There’s a fluffy purple owl<\/p>\n
named Moonlight and she was<\/p>\n
born during the space between<\/p>\n
the witching hour and our secret<\/p>\n
phone calls- well before the<\/p>\n
artist’s hour but you can tell<\/p>\n
there’s creativity in those feathers –<\/p>\n
that inspiration truly takes flight<\/p>\n
and when the final moments<\/p>\n
of forever finally arrive – she will be<\/p>\n
the sole reminder that even then<\/p>\n
there is still beauty and hope.<\/p>\n
