If so, it&#8217;s okay&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Leaving her with no inclination of what&#8217;s\u00a0<em>what,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Or what&#8217;s real:<\/p>\n<p><em>Bride farewell<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m coming back. I&#8217;m here to stay.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He tugs at my heartstrings,<\/p>\n<p>Curling them between his grasp,<\/p>\n<p>Wrenching me with fear,<\/p>\n<p>Poisoning my ability to laugh.<\/p>\n<p>The tightening grows,<\/p>\n<p>As I flutter for a seemingly, meaningless good-bye,<\/p>\n<p>Dying to be out of this moment,<\/p>\n<p>Out of his stare,<\/p>\n<p>Away from his eyes,<\/p>\n<p>His line of sight.<\/p>\n<p>Turning my back,<\/p>\n<p>Hoping to never look back,<\/p>\n<p>Walking the runway,<\/p>\n<p>Ready to runaway.<\/p>\n<p>As the coal in my throat grows,<\/p>\n<p>The crystallized waterfalls begin to overflow,<\/p>\n<p>This diamond starts to slit my throat,<\/p>\n<p>As I look for one last glance,<\/p>\n<p>He wilts away like a rose.<\/p>\n<p>It seems good-byes are all we know,<\/p>\n<p>Farewell to the Daddy&#8217;s Girl we both used to know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Choked up on broken tears, Making empty promises on half-hidden smiles, Waiting for my departure.
