{"id":17762,"date":"2016-08-13T09:38:02","date_gmt":"2016-08-13T13:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=17762"},"modified":"2016-08-13T09:38:03","modified_gmt":"2016-08-13T13:38:03","slug":"the-cruelty-of-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/the-cruelty-of-time\/","title":{"rendered":"The Cruelty of Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Time is the fastest runner in this world.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I tried to chase it,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I tried to outran it,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> But, this routine of mine just seem so absurd.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time has a bad habit of leaving people behind.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> One moment you&#8217;re floating together in its flow,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> The next thing you&#8217;ll know, you&#8217;re unclasped out of its bind.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time has a way of making you nostalgic about the memories you want to forget.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Making you remember things you wish you had another chance to do,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> And also those things that mark your regrets.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time knows how to steal something away from you.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> It forces you to move on and let go of things<\/em><br \/>\n<em> You fought so hard to hold on to.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time is the greatest enemy you&#8217;d have in the battlefield.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No matter how hard you fight against it,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> At the end of the day, you&#8217;re still the one that is sealed with defeat.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time took him away from me.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> It took what we are,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> And what we were supposed to be.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> Time.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Time can&#8217;t heal all the wounds I am trying so hard to mend.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> It just makes me feel the agony of pain longer.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> That&#8217;s why the only thing want in this world is for time to just end.<\/em><!--more--><!--more--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time.
