Two days before 14 years<\/em><\/p>\n

I run through our weeks<\/p>\n

and<\/p>\n

remember your face,<\/p>\n

your lips,<\/p>\n

your hands,<\/p>\n

but<\/p>\n

I still hide when you get too close.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I try to stay still,<\/p>\n

and<\/p>\n

plant my feet,<\/p>\n

my heart,<\/p>\n

my will,<\/p>\n

but<\/p>\n

I still seem to leave<\/p>\n

rather than stay present.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why<\/p>\n

do I<\/p>\n

need to go away<\/p>\n

to find you?<\/p>\n

Those jaunts to<\/p>\n

places you<\/p>\n

wanted to go \u2013<\/p>\n

and I go alone?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have spent so much time there<\/p>\n

and I<\/p>\n

now understand that<\/p>\n

I hate loneliness more than<\/p>\n

I fear letting you in.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So know that,<\/p>\n

when I push you \u2013<\/p>\n

it\u2019s me I\u2019m trying<\/p>\n

to get to<\/p>\n

and<\/p>\n

all I\u2019ve ever wanted<\/p>\n

was<\/p>\n

you.<\/p>\n
