In the midst of my years \u2013 standing on a spinning wheel.<\/p>\n
With panoramas in glass circling slow.<\/p>\n
Some for clearly viewing the vignettes of my life.<\/p>\n
Some, only reflect what my mind wants to see.<\/p>\n
And, some are one-sided, looking at me.<\/p>\n
So many faces with names unremembered.<\/p>\n
Sweet memories of little, joyful things<\/p>\n
Things and moments \u2013 mostly private joys.<\/p>\n
Things like chocolate pudding and favorite toys.<\/p>\n
Memories of summer visits to family now gone.<\/p>\n
Cousins & cows, “London Bridge” on the lawn.<\/p>\n
My wheel makes a turn towards memories sad,<\/p>\n
Grandparents, Uncles, friends and my Dad.<\/p>\n
They all left their marks on my heart.<\/p>\n
Each one fulfilling a part,<\/p>\n
A part of the course of the rest of my years.<\/p>\n
As the wheel turns, I find faith midst my fears,<\/p>\n
And faith it will take to overcome and<\/p>\n
