The leaves don\u2019t change. \u201cThe air is different<br \/>\nhere,\u201d A woman said yesterday as she got out her car, \u201cYes, the air<br \/>\nis different,\u201d someone else said. Then a girl, maybe 7, got out<br \/>\nand hugged the woman. They stood that way for a long time. The woman<br \/>\nloved that girl, or at least, loved that moment. The happiness was there<br \/>\nall over her face. Did they escape something?<br \/>\nI suspect they escaped the valley,<br \/>\nand arrived here for Korean BBQ, triumphant.<br \/>\nIn a place where I\u2019m safe,<br \/>\nwhere it is beautiful and the sun shines every day, why am I jealous of a girl<br \/>\nand a woman? Is it the girl? Is it the woman? Or is it being held and held<br \/>\nwell beyond the regular amount by someone who never wants to let you go?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The sun shines every day.
