Side by side, damp from a swim,<\/p>\n

Words tumbled from the past,<\/p>\n
A game we used to play.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some days,<\/p>\n
Dreams were the only words he spoke to me,<\/p>\n
To anyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat we were free.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cDream me a dream.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tell me the truth of things.<\/p>\n
Too old \u2013 I could tell that\u2019s what we were.<\/p>\n
The dreams were nothing fun,<\/p>\n
Just aching sorrows left undone.<\/p>\n
The game, broken.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Up, dressed, on the road.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n
Leaving, leaving leaving.<\/p>\n
