{"id":19619,"date":"2016-08-13T13:03:55","date_gmt":"2016-08-13T17:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=19619"},"modified":"2016-08-13T13:03:55","modified_gmt":"2016-08-13T17:03:55","slug":"5-a-brave-front","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/5-a-brave-front\/","title":{"rendered":"5     A Brave Front"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m trying to maintain a brave front.<\/p>\n<p>But continuous pummeling, left and right,<\/p>\n<p>will leave anyone with a dampened spirit,<\/p>\n<p>downtrodden at that.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a heaviness I can&#8217;t explain, darkened clouds hovering<\/p>\n<p>a silent howling.<\/p>\n<p>The better part of me keeps on reminding me, this will pass,<\/p>\n<p>this is a fleeting moment, there&#8217;s a rainbow at the end of a storm,<\/p>\n<p>and so on and so forth.<\/p>\n<p>These made me stronger, resolute, firmer<\/p>\n<p>and PRAYERS lots and lots of them,<\/p>\n<p>to maintain that brave front.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m trying to maintain a brave front.
