I, being from great ancients,<\/p>\n
believed in myths, till I saw one myself.<\/p>\n
I was without sight from then on- I did not perceive,<\/p>\n
a quest, ridden with impatience.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Many did not understand, my foolishness,<\/p>\n
and my pride, my anger and my folly,<\/p>\n
but they did not know I saw a myth,<\/p>\n
one reserved for exclusiveness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
What could this myth be,<\/p>\n
that so ruined my very existence?<\/p>\n
What could have left me for dead?<\/p>\n
What could not look back with no apology?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Come close and I’ll tell you,<\/p>\n
I’ll whisper it in your ear,<\/p>\n
why, I looked in a mirror,<\/p>\n
and do you know what I found staring back at me?<\/p>\n
