It\u2019s just another\u00a0Monday\u00a0morning<\/p>\n

And I board a train to my office.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In another few seconds,
\nPushing through people,
\nI grab a seat.
\nLike every other day
\nI start checking my emails.
\nSoon I realise
\nThe battery is about to die;
\nI feel like gibbering in panic –
\nI have to check my calendar
\nTo arrange the meeting invites.
\nTo my horror my mobile shuts off,
\nLeaving me perplexed
\nAbout what to do next.
\nThe journey takes two hours.
\nEveryone is busy with their devices
\nAnd I am left to see things
\nI have never noticed.
\nFrom the window I see
\nBare trees covered in snow,
\nAutumn leaves scattered
\nOn both sides of the road,
\nChristmas trees lit up,
\nEach street with its own unique lights;
\nPoinsettias are everywhere
\nAt this time of the year.
\nThe world outside appears like a canvas
\nPainted in different colours and shades,
\nBut I barely noticed.
\nI chose a gadget over God\u2019s creation.
\nWhen was the last time
\nI played in the snow?
\nI never left my gadgets
\nTo make my kid a snowman,
\nIn my awakening
\nI decide not to surrender<\/div>\n
To a device driven life!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
