Jen has a well-thought plan and a question<\/p>\n
Is the field filled with wings or caterpillars black and gold?<\/p>\n

The field sits warm in the morning sun<\/p>\n
Are there caterpillars or butterflies?<\/p>\n
There are buzy bees, ants in hills, and grasshoppers by the dozen<\/p>\n
But the bushes are empty of caterpillars and of butterflies, too.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is too soon, you just can\u2019t be gone,\u201d<\/p>\n
Jen checks her book and sees a picture<\/p>\n
\u201cAh Ha!\u201d she cries and looks so close at the milkweed plants she sees.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t a flower bud hanging here, but a chrysalis, for sure!<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll take some home to hang them in the garden<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll watch the butterflies come out<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll give them a bouquet of milkweed flowers<\/p>\n
