Feelings, and thoughts<\/p>\n
Are your own<\/p>\n
But they were grown<\/p>\n
In the garden<\/p>\n
Of your childhood.<\/p>\n
I tried to pull the weeds<\/p>\n
To keep them from choking<\/p>\n
Out the beauty of<\/p>\n
Your mind,<\/p>\n
Your heart,<\/p>\n
Your soul.<\/p>\n
But weeds have a way of<\/p>\n
Taking root<\/p>\n
Winding and twisting,<\/p>\n
Pushing through the natural growth.<\/p>\n
Your tears can wash away<\/p>\n
The hurts, the mistrust,<\/p>\n
The past memories,<\/p>\n
And nurture all that is good<\/p>\n
In your being.<\/p>\n
You are special, cherished,<\/p>\n
My special daughter.<\/p>\n
I’m sorry for the baggage<\/p>\n
You carry in your heart,<\/p>\n
Your psyche.<\/p>\n
We are connected in ways<\/p>\n
