rest folded in his lap…<\/p>\n
what does he see behind<\/p>\n
his closed eyes?<\/p>\n
His wife, a lover?<\/p>\n
His children, grandchildren?<\/p>\n
His home, with its comforts awaiting him?<\/p>\n
What are his thoughts as he rests<\/p>\n
after a long day?<\/p>\n
Does he worry about his job,<\/p>\n
his boss, his business,<\/p>\n
bills he needs to pay?<\/p>\n
Does he remember the young man<\/p>\n
he once was, with dreams<\/p>\n
he had for himself,<\/p>\n
now long dissolved?<\/p>\n
The train arrives at a random stop<\/p>\n
and he exits into the crowd<\/p>\n
of anonymous people<\/p>\n
to his life that awaits him…<\/p>\n
whatever that may be.<\/p>\n
