Am I poetic in my flow?<\/p>\n
When the bloom of my lips open like a flower<\/p>\n
and the words that I speak flow like dew dripping from its tip<\/p>\n
Does it look like poetry?<\/p>\n
When my motion around you draws a gentle breeze<\/p>\n
and the chill is just enough to awaken the senses to alertness<\/p>\n
Does it feel like poetry?<\/p>\n
When the melody of my voice lands on your ears like Coltrane<\/p>\n
and the sounds all land in sharps and flats perfectly aligned in a stanza<\/p>\n
Does it sound like poetry?<\/p>\n
I long to be poetry – because to me poetry is life<\/p>\n
I want to allure, awaken and accent your life, like only poetry could<\/p>\n
If I am poetry – then the flow will be natural to me<\/p>\n
