I think of Aristotle as I pass through the Cotswolds<\/p>\n
High up somewhere in these rolling hills<\/p>\n
Oliver Cromwell fought the royalists to establish the English Commonwealth<\/p>\n
More recently, a little further down<\/p>\n
A bunch of “travellers” raided the local corn farms<\/p>\n
Establishing trailers and declaring it their property<\/p>\n
Two events separated in time and stature<\/p>\n
Yet also similar<\/p>\n
Both revolutions against establishment<\/p>\n
Led by people firm in their beliefs<\/p>\n
But I think of how they end[ed]<\/p>\n
And my mind goes back to Aristotle<\/p>\n
Politics, revolution, democracy or mobocracy?<\/p>\n
Which one are they?<\/p>\n
Who is right?<\/p>\n
And who is wrong?<\/p>\n
Alas<\/p>\n
