I finally got access to the prompts and decided to try something different. By writing free form, I think I have been cheating a little since it does sound more like prose than poetry. My rhyme did not come out as well and with the additions and deletions it ended up being quite abrupt, but I enjoyed the challenge. Final version attached \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

She walked through the rain on the narrow street<\/p>\n
Reliving her childhood memories<\/p>\n
5 ruppee crisps from the corner shop<\/p>\n
The footpath where they played hopscotch<\/p>\n
She took a left into a bylane<\/p>\n
Past new, unrecognizable window panes<\/p>\n
Had war devastated her memories<\/p>\n
In the same way it had done their lives?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But then she saw the whitewashed door<\/p>\n
With rust stains, the same as before<\/p>\n
And she knew she had come home<\/p>\n
Except this time she was alone<\/p>\n
