\nMy age is supposed to be gray…
\nWrinkled.
\nI am smooth…
\nMy face is round and red;
\nMy hair is still red, gold and brown<\/strong>.
\nSure, there’s gray . . .
\nNever long, though.
\nMy angst?
\nTo play 40 . . .
\nWhen I’m 50?
\nAnd at a strange age.<\/strong>
\nThe business of show…
\nWants you very young…
\nOr very old!
\nOld Looking, that is.
\nAnd I am chubby.
\nStick to stage…

\nNo way!
\nA secretary . . .

\nOn the Broadway stage…
\nMake my debut.
\nFame, perhaps?
\nTo be recognized?
\nAccepted?
\nApplauded?
\nWill writing be the way<\/strong>,
\nLet’s say . . .
\nTo feeling appreciated?
\nDo I need that?
\nI want it . . .
\nI deserve it…
\nIt is my passion;<\/strong>
