He kept us together<\/p>\n

we could talk to him,<\/p>\n

I’ve needed him now<\/p>\n

I needed him then.<\/p>\n

This cruel disease<\/p>\n

it stole him from me,<\/p>\n

for so many years<\/p>\n

strict as can be.<\/p>\n

The drinking could hurt<\/p>\n

it caused Mom to cry,<\/p>\n

but we still loved him<\/p>\n

why God why him?<\/p>\n

Good Dad he was<\/p>\n

we still need him,<\/p>\n

though he’s still here<\/p>\n

the disease has claimed him.<\/p>\n
