My poems in his grasp<\/p>\n
My attention sought<\/p>\n
He won’t just ask<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
His paws reach far<\/p>\n
Claws in or out?<\/p>\n
My work doesn’t matter<\/p>\n
He won’t care if I pout<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Literary kitty<\/p>\n
Sleeps on pen and books<\/p>\n
Slaps at my words<\/p>\n
Gives me a smirk<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Wonder if he dreams<\/p>\n
Of putting paper to pen<\/p>\n
But he just sleeps on my book<\/p>\n
In his world of Cat Zen<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
As he slashes my hand<\/p>\n
Sleeps on my verse<\/p>\n
I won’t take his comments<\/p>\n
As something perverse<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A cat’s poem is his life<\/p>\n
Its his\u00a0job to ignore<\/p>\n
His mission is\u00a0to play<\/p>\n
His demeanor to\u00a0be bored<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My toughest critic<\/p>\n
Will never be won<\/p>\n
He will get in my way<\/p>\n
And add to the fun<\/p>\n
