Looking at the path unfolding<\/p>\n
The planks brittle and splintering<\/p>\n
Creaking beneath her weight<\/p>\n
Breathing in the cleansing air<\/p>\n
Knowing her dreams<\/p>\n
Are out here, somewhere<\/p>\n
Searching for what she thinks<\/p>\n
Is lost to only her<\/p>\n
If she’d only still,<\/p>\n
They would speak to her<\/p>\n
Quiet the mind, slow your pace<\/p>\n
Open up to the universal grace<\/p>\n
Her toes catching,<\/p>\n
on a warped and twisted board.<\/p>\n
Catching a splinter<\/p>\n
So deep in her center<\/p>\n
Remove it now, before it festers<\/p>\n
The blood and pain, oozes out<\/p>\n
She feels it all<\/p>\n
Clammering about<\/p>\n
Breathing in deeply<\/p>\n
She sighs relief<\/p>\n
If only<\/p>\n
The peace<\/p>\n
Wasn’t so brief.<\/p>\n
