{"id":23406,"date":"2016-08-13T18:23:07","date_gmt":"2016-08-13T22:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=23406"},"modified":"2016-08-14T05:45:11","modified_gmt":"2016-08-14T09:45:11","slug":"hour-10-praise-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/hour-10-praise-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour 10 &#8211; Praise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right\">\u00a0<strong>A Grandpa&#8217;s Love<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>When I was young, my grandfather<br \/>\ntaught me so much about life;<br \/>\nI learned to cook, and I learned to fish,<br \/>\nand I learned about surviving through strife.<\/p>\n<p>I learned about camping and campfire coffee,<br \/>\npinching toes I soon learned to avoid.<br \/>\nI learned that \u2018Til Death Do Us Part\u2019\u00a0<em>can<\/em> be true,<br \/>\nand his passing, in my heart left a void.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m now Grandpa to a beautiful bunch,<br \/>\nand I hope that I too will impart,<br \/>\nto my ever-growing branch of our family tree<br \/>\nthe lessons of love in my heart.<\/p>\n<p>All of these messages I wont get to teach<br \/>\nto Eddy, my first born grandson,<br \/>\nfor God called him home much too early<br \/>\nand his Earthly time with us is done.<\/p>\n<p>So I\u2019ll work without fail for the rest of my life<br \/>\nto be the best Grandpa I can,<br \/>\nand to hopefully teach the best lessons of all<br \/>\nto the rest of my wonderful clan.<\/p>\n<p>I may not be rich, and Grandma got the looks,<br \/>\nbut my babies I promise you this \u2013<br \/>\nno one in your life will ever love you more,<br \/>\nor give you a better \u2018cow-kiss\u2019!<\/p>\n<p><em>Grandpa loves you all \u2026 Forever<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Dedicated to my Grandpa<br \/>\n~ Audy McDaniel ~<br \/>\n(1918 &#8211; 1984)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0A Grandpa&#8217;s Love When I was young, my grandfather taught me so much about life; I learned to cook, and I learned to fish, and I learned about surviving through strife.
