The moment of knowing loss<\/span><\/p>\n

Is filled with so much emotion<\/span><\/p>\n

The sudden emptiness<\/span><\/p>\n

The stop of the current between you<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Death will come to us all<\/span><\/p>\n

At some point in time<\/span><\/p>\n

But before it does<\/span><\/p>\n

We will experience the loss of many<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mourning the absence<\/span><\/p>\n

While being bombarded<\/span><\/p>\n

With the memories<\/span><\/p>\n

Both significant and ordinary<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Their laugh, their smell, their touch<\/span><\/p>\n

The ease of being silently together<\/span><\/p>\n

And the loudness<\/span><\/p>\n

Of being silly and playful<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The closeness of those<\/span><\/p>\n

Who also felt the loss<\/span><\/p>\n

Close and heavy<\/span><\/p>\n

Making it hard to even breathe<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is almost too much to bear<\/span><\/p>\n

But day by day<\/span><\/p>\n

Year by year<\/span><\/p>\n

It eases, if only enough to go on<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To look back and appreciate<\/span><\/p>\n

Time you were given<\/span><\/p>\n

And the gift<\/span><\/p>\n
