\ndo these creatures know what’s happening?<\/p>\n
I think about their feelings,
\nhow they must feel when we throw our lines out.<\/p>\n
If they even think about it,
\nis it intrigue, or more along the lines of panic?<\/p>\n
The trees above form a canopy,
\nbugs and birds chirp in a cacophony of voices.<\/p>\n
Individualism lost,
\nthey bounce their chorus off the lake.<\/p>\n
Everything in between feels it,
\nfrom the muggy, humid air to my thin breastbone.<\/p>\n
Maybe I’ll spare the fish,
