Most people don’t know this
\nI am a mutant<\/p>\n
I read comic books as a child
\nI always wanted super powers
\nLike Spiderman or Batman or Wolverine
\nBut who wants to go through some painful accident or experiment?
\nNot me, I thought!<\/p>\n
So instead, I wished for super powers
\nI wished hard
\nEveryday
\nI drew fantastic pictures
\nand wrote amazing stories of all my adventures<\/p>\n
I drowned out the noises of the rest of the world
\nand kept drawing and writing and creating
\nI just forgot to write an origin story
\nBut it happened anyway<\/p>\n

\nI had developed super powers
\nI became –\u00a0Invisible Man!<\/strong>
\nIt wasn’t easy
\nand I made some dangerous mistakes.
\nBut I learned how to develop and hone my secret power.<\/p>\n
\nI can hide in plain sight
\nBut only if I’m very quiet
\nI have to remember to avoid the ones who are immune
\nThey are usually loud
\nand they give themselves away<\/p>\n
\nbut their eyes are hollow
\nThat’s how I know their souls were taken
\nand they won’t alert the immune ones.
\nThey are too afraid<\/p>\n
\nand they will never ask
\nThey will never travel to the places I’ve been
\nExperience the things I have seen
\nThey will never know
\nI’m an artist
\nI’m a writer
