Directions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. Take a piece of paper, and fold it in half.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In the left-hand column, make a list of your 26 favorite words, 1 for each letter, A-Z.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0<\/span>Using Google or a thesaurus, find a synonym for each of the 26 words.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>The synonyms need not start with the same letter as the original word. Write each word\u2019s synonym in the right column next to it.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Use the righthand-column words as a limited vocabulary with which to craft a poem.<\/span>\u00a0The only additional words you may add to the poem (for the sake of clarity) are:\u00a0<\/span>the<\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>is<\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>are<\/em>, &\u00a0<\/span>and<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    DO feel free to pluralize words (i.e. \u201csun\u201d versus \u201csuns\u201d), deviate from proper syntax (i.e. using a noun as a verb or an adjective as a noun), to reconjugate non-verb verbs for the sake of clarity (i.e. \u201cturntable\u201d to \u201cturntabled\u201d), and use wordplay (i.e. \u201csons\u201d versus \u201csuns\u201d).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    DON\u2019T re-conjugate preexisting verbs (i.e. \u201clove\u201d to \u201cloved\u201d).<\/strong><\/p>\n
