Getting older
\nWhy do we resist?
\nHave you ever considered
\nThe alternative?<\/p>\n
I love the idea
\nOf growing in years
\nFor Wisdom comes with it
\nLearned through laughter and tears<\/p>\n
I have earned every line
\nAnd every gray hair
\nMy beauty refined
\nWith each passing year<\/p>\n
As time goes by
\nWe surrender our youth
\nBut I wouldn’t go back
\nTo tell you the truth<\/p>\n
I like who I am
\nAnd all that I’ve become
\nI’ve grown into myself
\nMuch more than when young<\/p>\n
I stand in my strength
\nMy power and glory
\nI speak my mind
\nAnd write my own story<\/p>\n
There are still chapters left
\nI’ve still much to give
\nI plan to contribute
\nFor as long as I live<\/p>\n
Age is just a number
\nIt has no meaning really
\nI can do what I want

So I choose to live fully
