{"id":25048,"date":"2016-08-13T21:29:03","date_gmt":"2016-08-14T01:29:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=25048"},"modified":"2016-08-14T00:06:48","modified_gmt":"2016-08-14T04:06:48","slug":"wrapped","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/wrapped\/","title":{"rendered":"HOUR 13 Wrapped!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WRAPPED<\/p>\n<p>I stole myself away.<\/p>\n<p>They\u00a0didn&#8217;t know how strangled I felt.<\/p>\n<p>The umbilical chord still attached<\/p>\n<p>wrapped tightly round my neck.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t mean to hurt anyone or put fear in their hearts.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted freedom, I wanted a new start.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I said goodbye to only a few<\/p>\n<p>not the ones that mattered.<\/p>\n<p>I wrenched a heart, that was easy to claim.<\/p>\n<p>He kept his promise, but\u00a0cried all night.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t\u00a0realize the pain I had caused<\/p>\n<p>when setting my pain free.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted freedom,\u00a0an apartment and<\/p>\n<p>of course my own key.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was missing, no where to be found.<\/p>\n<p>I was happy, delirious with joy, while<\/p>\n<p>they were crying,\u00a0worried and scared.<\/p>\n<p>I had no idea, I didn&#8217;t care. I was free.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Was I alone? Well I&#8217;ll never tell.<\/p>\n<p>I went missing, they were in hell.<\/p>\n<p>Do I regret it? I guess in some ways.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0wish there had been, a better way<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WRAPPED I stole myself away.
