when their feet were rotten<\/p>\n
with too much high living<\/p>\n
They think they’re so cute and<\/p>\n
independent,<\/p>\n
eyes closed,<\/p>\n
backs turned.<\/p>\n
nobody flowering here<\/p>\n
or throwing a party.<\/p>\n
pretend they don’t need me<\/p>\n
thank you.<\/p>\n
I have a drip gardening system<\/p>\n
and I’m the drip.<\/p>\n
Into each pot I drip a sip<\/p>\n
of non-potable gleanings<\/p>\n
from my baths<\/p>\n
carried, not always lovingly,<\/p>\n
down the stairs, and rationed.<\/p>\n
