The missing person theme suits it perfectly. &amp; while I like the poem, I wouldn&#8217;t mind trimming it. I just don&#8217;t have time today.<\/em><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>dust shower<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">i. text<br \/>\nshe texts me saying<br \/>\n<i>i\u2019m on my way home.<br \/>\n<\/i>she&#8217;s coming back<br \/>\nto collect me. we<br \/>\nare going shopping.<br \/>\ni jump in the shower<br \/>\nto get ready<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">ii. shower<br \/>\ni only come to, 40 minutes later.<br \/>\nlucky the water still tumbling down<br \/>\ndidn\u2019t drown me then &amp; there.<br \/>\nmum is nowhere in the house<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">iii. sick<br \/>\ni stand up. i throw up.<br \/>\ni sit down. still throw up.<br \/>\nwait. till the queasy passes<br \/>\nmore minutes later. stand.<br \/>\nthroat muscles contract<br \/>\nbut i fight against<br \/>\nthe rising bile<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">iv. phonecalls<br \/>\ni call her mobile. no answer.<br \/>\ni call dad\u2019s mobile. no answer.<br \/>\n&amp; then, call gran &amp; grandad<br \/>\neven though they never answer.<br \/>\nno answer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">v. driving<br \/>\neven though i don\u2019t<br \/>\nhave my full license<br \/>\ni jump in my car<br \/>\n&amp; go looking for mum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">vi. tree<br \/>\nfind her 4WD 5 k\u2019s<br \/>\nfrom our gate, on the road<br \/>\ninto town. it has crashed<br \/>\ninto a gumtree. her door<br \/>\nis shut. the window<br \/>\nwound down. keys still<br \/>\nin the ignition<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">vii. dust<br \/>\nmum is no where<br \/>\nto be seen. only<br \/>\na pile of fine orange<br \/>\ndust on her seat<br \/>\n&amp; all<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0through<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 the car<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another poem for one of the sequences I&#8217;m working on.
