We sit with knees on cold concrete<\/p>\n
To stare straight up into the sky<\/p>\n
That narrow circle of the heavens<\/p>\n
Not blocked by suburbia’s lights<\/p>\n
Silver ice diamonds<\/p>\n
Peeking through dark night<\/p>\n
Reminding us of the wilderness<\/p>\n
Where our souls may take flight<\/p>\n
Not weighted down by concrete<\/p>\n
Or the fuss of mundane life.<\/p>\n
Every now and then,<\/p>\n
God adds one more gift in His benevolence<\/p>\n
The aurora borealis<\/p>\n
Which stirs from deep within His children<\/p>\n
