It use to rub me<\/p>\n
like vapor rub<\/p>\n
the wrong way<\/p>\n
and I would<\/p>\n
break out in hives<\/p>\n
when someone<\/p>\n
would ask me<\/p>\n
why don’t you settle down<\/p>\n
this type of living<\/p>\n
brings me clarity<\/p>\n
as it does community<\/p>\n
but sometimes<\/p>\n
I want to settle<\/p>\n
this wandering soul<\/p>\n
and build my own<\/p>\n
place, call it home<\/p>\n
and plant a garden<\/p>\n
full of vegetables<\/p>\n
and herbs<\/p>\n
but staying in one place<\/p>\n
would rack my last<\/p>\n
nerve, so I move<\/p>\n
on, from place to place<\/p>\n
and job to job<\/p>\n
a good person<\/p>\n
who doesn’t steal, cheat, or rob<\/p>\n
but no one cares<\/p>\n
when you don’t have<\/p>\n
a piece of the American dream<\/p>\n
I’m just seeking the peace<\/p>\n
of mind, if you know what I mean<\/p>\n
why do folks have to be so mean<\/p>\n
it seems that what I eat makes<\/p>\n
them poop<\/p>\n
and where I lay my head<\/p>\n
at night, is where they rest and recoup<\/p>\n
I enjoy seeing new cultures<\/p>\n
and communities on my travels<\/p>\n
hitting the highway, the railways<\/p>\n
the airways, no matter what<\/p>\n
I don’t play in the gravel<\/p>\n
of complaining<\/p>\n
I enjoy the sun shining<\/p>\n
as much as I do the raining<\/p>\n
because I know each<\/p>\n
day life is alright<\/p>\n
and every time I lay my<\/p>\n
head down at night<\/p>\n
I’m tucked in a warm bed<\/p>\n
a roof over \u00a0my head<\/p>\n
and I know it’s already been<\/p>\n
said<\/p>\n
that it doesn’t belong to me<\/p>\n
but I have my<\/p>\n
home of joy and sanity<\/p>\n
which you can’t buy anywhere<\/p>\n
these days<\/p>\n
so i’ll put on my traveling shoes<\/p>\n
and enjoy my Nomad ways<\/p>\n
