A night at the lake<\/p>\n
on a date with a man<\/p>\n
who knows how to<\/p>\n
court a woman<\/p>\n
spare me the jokes<\/p>\n
will you<\/p>\n
no really he actually<\/p>\n
planned out the date<\/p>\n
with precision and<\/p>\n
perfection might I add<\/p>\n
he picked me up in<\/p>\n
his jeep at 7 precisely<\/p>\n
and we drove out to<\/p>\n
the lake<\/p>\n
he grabbed a blanket and<\/p>\n
a basket and a stereo<\/p>\n
which was classic<\/p>\n
and we laid out in the grass<\/p>\n
for hours talking about<\/p>\n
the guts and the glory<\/p>\n
of making it in this<\/p>\n
world of crazy people<\/p>\n
he was a gentleman<\/p>\n
and a comedian<\/p>\n
my radar of this<\/p>\n
is too good to be true<\/p>\n
had me in a panic again<\/p>\n
but I wasn’t going to<\/p>\n
ruin this good thing<\/p>\n
wasn’t like I was looking<\/p>\n
for the night to end<\/p>\n
in a proposal and a ring<\/p>\n
just wanted to enjoy the<\/p>\n

night was right and<\/p>\n
it was, as the sun dipped<\/p>\n
below the hills<\/p>\n
