\na mixture of emotions fully expressed,
\nambiance level has been set to safety, <\/p>\n
children with brief friendships that last for their stay,
\na mini-break for survivors,
\nnot long enough to recuperate, <\/p>\n
trauma has made “our bodies tired,”
\nleft over belongings of an abusive relationship: <\/p>\n
a few toys for the children,
\na diaper bag for the baby,
\na duffel bag of clothes,
\nand a whole lot of maybe. <\/p>\n
Those can be placed in the closet.
